INTRODUCTION

BFPL is one of the key organizations promoted by GIFTOP Pvt. Ltd., (Global Integrated Food Technology Operations Project Pvt. Ltd.,) to work in the area of building of agriculture and food processing and marketing infrastructure. GIFTOP is a result of the passion and conviction of a group of experts about the latent potential of Indian agribusiness and the need for visionary management inputs to actuate the potential by integrating all operations in the food supply chain through its innovative approach and create commercially viable value addition avenues across the chain. GIFTOP aims at tapping the true potential of the agriculture, horticulture, medicinal crops, bio-fuels and their value addition business and turn it into a win- win situation for the key stakeholders in the food supply chain. The ultimate aim is to see sparkling eyes and smiling faces among the farmers, traders, food processors, food handlers and consumers – “we mean the society at large”. BFPL will play a major role in making this dream come true.

BFPL will involve in setting up of agriculture and food processing infrastructure projects in India and abroad. Projects planned include integrated food processing parks, integrated food trading parks, specialized retail outlets, business incubators, modern central kitchen, and other related projects.

1.To drive agribusiness into a healthy and modern industry by promoting and setting up of agriculture infrastructure projects

2.To actively participate in projects being set up by the group companies as also others in the area of agriculture and food processing.

COMPANIES ASSOCIATED

BFPL will be guided by the umbrella organization i.e. GIFTOP Pvt. Ltd., a company involved with a high level of technical, management and financial resources. Besides BFPL will be associated with the following companies also.

Green India Commodity Sources Pvt Ltd (GICS) : A company established in the year 2003 to involve in the backward linkage of the food supply chain. GICS will organize production through contract farming arrangement based on market needs.

Green India Food Trading Pvt Ltd Company (GIFT) : A company established in the year 2004 with the objective of establishing a world class enterprise for marketing a whole range of food products involving commodities and value added processed food products including medicinal and aromatic herbs. GIFT will be the forward linkage company in the integrated food supply chain.

Green India Product and Process Developers Pvt. Ltd.,(GIPP) : A company set up with the objective of conducting research and development work with a view to developing nutritionally sound food and allied products by cost effective, eco-frinedly processes. GIPP, with it well equipped laboratory and scientific personnel will render active quality assurance and quality control support to GICS.

Akshay Food Park Ltd (AFPL) : A joint venture company with the Government of Karnataka at Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Karnataka . BFPL has a majority stake (69%) in this project. AFPL will be a modern hassle free production environment for food processing operations with international standards of food safety hygiene and quality requirements AFPL will have common infrastructure facilities of good road, power, potable water supply, effluent treatment, communication facility and commercial complex as also specialized facilities such as quality control laboratory, cold store, warehouse, business incubator, etc.,
